This is the first Friday gathering at the Grass Roots art Gallery. There will be artists painting while Last Note keeps the tunes grooving, semi-acoustically. Nick, Kevin and Tim got together to work out a new song on Wednesday night. They spent 3 hours working out guitar harmonies and rhythms. They’re looking forward to getting together with Greg Andrews to finish the song off. The big push this winter is to add 50 new songs and create a whole new night of tunes for the fans!
A huge thanks to Michelle Benner, once again, for these great pictures. Last Note played two shows at the Landing Bar and Grille in Fairport, NY this weekend. Saturdays show was played before a packed house. Nick dug deep in his song selections. They played a bunch of tunes that have been out of the rotation for almost a year. They also played an awesome version of Fire on the Mountain into Scarlet Begonias. The band was joined on stage by dancers from the crowd. Sunday’s benefit show saw more nostalgia with more tunes that haven’t been played in a while, such as Charlie and Leroy Brown, which had half the bar on the dance floor. A huge thanks to the Landing Bar and Grille in Fairport, they run a good place over there and the food is amazing!
Last Note will be playing at the Landing Bar and Grille in Fairport this Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday show begins at around 9:30 pm and goes until 1am. The Sunday show begins at 5pm and is a benefit for a family that has suffered from a bad house fire. We are looking forward to putting out a great set of show you. Hope to see you there.
Last Note spent the evening in the Time Warner Studios in Webster shooting an episode of The Music Show. They filmed four songs and three interview segments. Thanks to everyone at The Music Show for making it such a great night. The show will air in about a month. Stay tuned for details.
